Is it just me, or does caring for ourselves and one another feel harder than it should?
Families are fed information without guidance. Educators and health care professionals are expected to provide meaningful services inside systems that leave little room for humanity. Wellness is presented as a luxury that is time consuming and expensive.
At Tiny Wellness Collective, we are asking a different question: Could it be simpler?
Not because our lives are simple. They aren’t. But support can be more accessible. Care can be more connected. Information can be more useful. And people can be treated like human beings rather than problems to solve.
As a mother, I don’t need another label for how I should parent or another list of things I should be doing. I need support that fits the reality of my family’s life. As a clinician, I’ve learned that knowing what good care looks like and being able to provide it are not always the same thing. Professionals need the time, resources, and flexibility to put it into practice. Whether we are caring for our own children or supporting someone else’s, most of us already want to do right by them. We need systems that make it easier to follow through.
So where do we begin?
We begin by listening to the people closest to the problem and bringing their knowledge together. Families, caregivers, educators, health professionals, and creators all understand different parts of the experience. Together, we can create accessible resources and build support around the lives people actually live.
Tiny Wellness Collective is still in its building phase. We are exploring a more connected and accessible approach to children’s health and wellness—and what we build should be shaped by the people who will actually use it.
I believe it can be simpler. I also believe the knowledge we need already exists in the experiences of families, professionals, educators, caregivers, and communities. Our work is to listen, connect what we know, and begin building differently.
Children will shape the future—we have the opportunity to build something better for them now.
What feels harder than it should—and what would make it simpler?
